Pastor Chad Tyson

ASSOCIATE OF STUDENT MINISTRIES

Pastor Chad came to Ganson Street Baptist in 2012 after serving as a house parent in Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators. God opened an opportunity for Chad to work as a youth pastor in Michigan. Chad has a deep desire to lead teens in discipleship. He has a heart for biblical truth and the study of Scripture.

Chad graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University (now Cairn University) with a B.S. in Bible/Youth Ministry. He was born in the suburbs of Philadelphia and was a faithful student of Judo. That passion led him to become a Sensei and earn his black belt. It was through this experience that a desire to work full-time with youth grew in his heart. He has a lovely wife, Leah, who is his ministry partner and best friend. They have been married since 2003 and have five lively children: Sage, Chad, Judah, Avery, and Reese. Chad enjoys nature, sarcasm, debate, and playing with his kids.
